We partnered with Sao Sary Foundation in Cambodia a few years ago, and couldn't be happier with the children and family projects they've helped us create.
At the recommendation from someone we met at the UN, we started a working partnership with the Sao Sary Foundation in Kampong Speu, Cambodia. Our partnership is primarily concerned with the welfare of children, especially those in danger of being exploited as a result of their family’s extreme poverty. Many families don't allow schooling for their children because they need them to stay at home and work to support the family, and in extreme cases have actually sold one child to pay to take care of the others. ![]() In order for the children to return or to stay in school, we have sought to provide alternative ways for poor families to earn money that does not require their children to give up their chance to receive an education. This can come in the form of start up capital for a small business that helps families use the skills they already have to earn income. Examples include grocery selling, vegetable gardens, livestock raising and cake baking. In order to achieve this goal, we treat each family as a special case. Providing both technical assistance and start up capital, we help families to use the skills they already have or teach them new skills in order to find ways to raise their standard of living. Key aspects of our family program include support for their children, work planning/goal setting, financial grants, and continued technical assistance, all of which are regularly monitored through evaluation mechanisms. If you can help sustain him and the home he's created for many children that stay with him - every little bit helps. |

Follow along as we circumnavigate the globe creating grassroots aid.
Guerrilla Aid is a style of volunteerism - simply go somewhere and do something,
while teaching others to do the same.I have personally contributed to their projects, and CAA chose Global Colors to launch our volunteer program in South Africa and Mozambique.
I believe the work they do in the U.S. and around the world is commendable, and I strongly endorse the support of Global Colors.
