First step? CLEAN WATER!

We figured that if we could get a big enough tank, we could put it above the "shed" and fill it with water from an electric pump a few hours a day. Then we could run a line along a wall and provide taps for them to use for washing - their first "shower" ever!

They had a pump and could get the water, and thanks to Susan Carras and Stephanie McAndrew, I was able to order a tank. They were also out of rice and a few necessities, and I headed out to get that too...

It was a very special day as well, because while in Tibet I met four people from Denmark and we all became fast friends. When we found out we were all coming back to Katmandu on the same flight, I asked if they'd help me out and they were more than willing...

Thank you Louis, Mie, Thea, and Laura for making this such a special day for all of us.

We got the biggest reward of all with amazing dinner of Dal Bhat - the staple food in Nepal which is rice, lentils, curried vegetables...
