Children's Home in Katmandu - HORAC
I got back from Tibet a bit early and called Judy (my rabies nurse) and asked if I could go with her to the children's home, and luckily for me she was on her way there with her husband and a friend to do some basic medical check-ups.  I joined along and got the best job of passing out oranges after they were prodded...

I have to say, this is one of the best children's homes I've ever seen.  This man and his wife have taken 43 orphaned children off the street (one with down syndrome) and provide one of the most loving homes on earth, but they have nothing...

I always spend my first day just observing, playing, and making a game plan, and tomorrow I'll bring some of my friends from Tibet to start the work...

Testimonials

I was inspired and moved, and felt for the first time that one person truly can make a difference.

The world seems so much bigger and yet so much more attainable after visiting Africa with Global Colors.
