UPDATES!

Many of you have asked how our other projects are going, and as of now - things are progressing nicely thanks to your help and donations!

In LAOS our book project was implemented with Thanta Soyliyasack, head librarian of the Laung Prabang public library, and our new books are now circulating throughout the surrounding regions!

UGANDA - Anthony, Saul, and Nestory have been working very hard to get things taken care of with our Batwa project and have purchased the land for resettlement, built a new latrine for the community, and purchased the chickens, goats, dresses, and school supplies for the community.

CAMBODIA - Vichet Uon at Sao Sary continues his work with the poorest of the poor in Kampong Speu, and could still use a great deal of help.  He has recently sent us updates on the projects we have facilitated for numerous families, and pictures of their success are below.

Our school in Cité is nearly completed, and we're wasting no time in starting our new projects.

I've been very fortunate to have two volunteers I met in Haiti agree to go back to Jacmel and finish the projects for Global Colors.  We have this school in Cité nearly done, and Andrew Treleaven and Ryan Seguin are taking over the reins with this school, while developing our two other locations.  Big thank you to them for stepping in and taking over.

Winding down my time in Haiti for this trip, finishing this round of water filters, getting the school on track, and happy to report that things have fallen in place.  I have Gwenn, Nick, Sarah, and Jarrod that will remain here and will finish this project in the next few weeks, with updates coming from them.

I'll be back to Jacmel with Ryan and Andrew in the next month or two to begin phase two - another school and an orphanage in Fondwa - so get ready for Jacmel Guerrilla Aid 2.0!

Thank you all for your amazing help - we'll have a school for 600 kids up and ready for the new school year, and hundreds of families with clean water thanks to you all...

I had the amazing good fortune of having two friends from my home town come and take me for a ride in their helicopter around Jacmel and the surrounding area.  You can see Cité and the site of the school, and I can't thank Jeremy and Paul enough for their kindness in taking me out for the afternoon...  See you guys very soon in St. George...

A few things that have made me smile...

Mrs. Foeldi's kindergarten class in Anaheim, CA had a bake sale for our Haiti project and purchased 25 water filters for families in Jacmel - seriously made me cry when I saw this picture...

Hard working volunteers made my life much easier here...

Due to your generosity - the greatest joy was having enough funds to provide clean water to hundreds of families in the rural areas - THANK YOU!
